DEADLINE EXTENDED: LOGO CONTEST FOR CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION – Friday, December 10

The Centennial Committee announced a logo design contest to celebrate Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church 100th anniversary. The theme is ” Beacon of Hope.” Click this link to read submission guidelines. Share the contest with the artist in your family, neighborhood, or school. Deadline was extended from Wednesday November 17 to Friday, December 10. The artist who created the winning design will receive a $50 gift card!

SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE MEETING & POT LUCK – Wednesday, December 15

Our Social Justice Committee will hold a pot luck holiday social in the parish hall on Wednesday, December 15. If you want to attend, call the parish office and give Mary Rose your name and contact information.

THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS

Our Social Ministry Committee is organizing food baskets for Thanksgiving. Baskets could include pantry items and gift cards for bread, dairy and meat products. If you know of a senior or family in the parish who should get a basket, please contact Mary Rose at the parish office.

2021 ANGEL TREE

Sister Tiberh put together an Angel Tree for our families. Look for the Angel Tree in the church. Grab a tag. Each tag is for a child, teen, or adult in the parish. You will purchase the gifts and deliver them to the parish office. If you do not want to shop for a family, you can donate gift cards for popular stores such as Food Lion and Walmart. You can drop off the gift cards or mail them to Sister at the parish office. The mailing address is 1301 Victor St. Richmond, VA 23222.

FAITH FORMATION FOR CHILDREN

Children’s faith formation are meeting in the rectory after the 9:00 Mass on Sunday, November 21 and December 5. First Reconciliation will be held on Sunday, December 12 and 19 after the 9:00 Mass. All children are welcome to Sunday School on Sunday December 5 after 9:00 Mass. If your child is baptized and older than 7, contact Liz to have your child join our class.
