Easter 2021

St. Elizabeth celebrated a beautiful Easter service. What made it special was we welcomed into the Catholic faith (and our parish) Helena and Rod. Helena and Rod diligently attended Mass at the church when we opened with limited capacity. Chris and Beng conducted their important RCIA studies on Zoom. Mark and Connie proudly sponsored them.

Celebrate Father Augustus Tolton

Today we celebrate the life of Father Augustus Tolton, who was born into slavery just outside of Hannibal in Ralls County, Missouri in 1854. He would go on to become the first recognized African-American priest to be ordained by the Roman Catholic Church in the United States in 1886 at the age of 31. #AmericanHistory
