Wednesday, Feb 8, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Deacon Charles Williams (1951–2022) Speaker Series: The speaker for Black History Month is Sister Cora Marie Billings. Her presentation is “May I Present Some Black Women Religious.” The evening will begin with Mass at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner in the parish hall. The presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Q&A and discussion finishing at 8:30pm. You can live stream the event on the Facebook Page of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. You do not need to register or be a member of Facebook to watch the livestream.

Sunday, February 5th, we kick off Black History Month with a National Day of Prayer for African American and African Families. 8:30am Sunday Mass special celebrate/homilist Msgr. Walter Barrett • 10:00am Sunday Mass with special prayer “God of Mercy and Love” proclaimed by youth attending the Diocesan Youth Convention. • 11:15am after Mass all adults are asked to stay in the church with Fr. Jim and the youth will attend religious education. • 12:00pm noon is a potluck in the Parish Hall. The parish will provide roast chicken as the entrée. Parishioners are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.
