ANNUAL ADVOCACY DAY AT VA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Join the Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy on Wed., Jan. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 411 E. Grace St. (virtual option available) for the 2023 Day for All People, the annual advocacy day.  Join with other motivated Virginians to make our voices heard on economic, racial, and social justice issues.  You will learn about the priority policy issues from dynamic speakers and workshops, meet with your state legislators, and engage with advocates from our region of the state.  To register, go to www.virginiainterfaithcenter.org or contact Deacon Chris at [email protected].

THE BISHOP KEANE INSTITUTE PRESENTS

The Bishop Keane Institute invites you to join us at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hampton for “Why Black Catholic History Matters,” with Dr. Shannen Dee Williams on Saturday, January 21, 9am-Noon. DAY OF REFLECTION FOR BLACK CATHOLICS

With resources from the National Black Catholic Congress, St. Elizabeth’s will have a Day of Reflection for Black Catholics on Sat., Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch provided. This will be a time to come together and pray, reflect, share, and strategize for the future.
