Baby girl Bahati was born on May 15, 2021. Her family came to the US in 2018 from a Tanzania refugee camp. Her family are members of St. Elizabeth. Pierre and his family arrived in Richmond on June 29, 2021. They are from Bujumbura, Burundi.
ST. ELIZABETH SCRIPTURE CLASS STARTING
You are welcome to join the Scripture class in September 2021 to study 1 & 2 Corinthians and The Book of Psalms. New members will start with four sessions on Bible history happening Tuesdays, August 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 6-8pm on Zoom. DOCUMENTARY ABOUT MONUMENT AVENUE
VPM, Richmond’s public broadcasting station, produced a documentary about the Confederate monuments on Monument Avenue. It’s a history of the city told through the monuments. It features archival images and interviews with 30 local historians, teachers, journalists, politicians and activists. Watch “How The Monuments Came Down” on VPM [LINK].
