The Diocese newspaper, The Catholic Virginian, has a Letters to the Editor section that is a great platform for advancing social justice causes. READY FOR RISC – Multiple Dates
St. Elizabeth’s is an active member of Richmonders Involved to Strengthen our Communities (RISC). RISC is a community organizing group that works locally to further the prophetic call to Justice and build a city of God. Our strength is in the power of organized people coming together to demand Equity. VOTER REGISTRATION – September 26
St. Elizabeth will host a voter registration on Sunday, September 26 after each mass. Voter registration is a nonpartisan activity. We will also assist you if you need to update your registration or need information about voting. You may register to vote or apply for a ballot online using the Citizen Portal at https://www.elections.virginia.gov/citizen-portal/

What’s on my ballot:
Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, House of Delegates and some local offices (varies by locality).
First day of Early Voting: Friday, September 17th
Deadline to Register to vote or update your existing registration: Tuesday, October 12th
Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot: Friday, October 22nd at 5:00 P.M.
Last day of Early Voting: Saturday, October 30th at 5:00 P.M.
Local offices will also be open for voting the previous Saturday, October 23rd

St. Elizabeth’s Centennial Committee will meet on Thursday Oct 7, 2021 4pm – 5pm (EDT) via Zoom. We are in search of your family’s stories and photos, and volunteers to serve on the Centennial Planning Committee.
