“Our Church, Our Story: Black Catholic Identity and Culture,” a retreat and conference will be held both in-person at the Roslyn Retreat Center in Richmond and virtually on Zoom. The retreat begins November 5, at 5 pm and ends at 11:00 am on November 7. The virtual program is on Saturday 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. There is no cost if you participate via Zoom for Saturday’s retreat. If you attend Saturday’s session in person, there is a fee for meals and materials. For the full retreat experience, you can stay at the center throughout the 3-day retreat. Dr. Tia Pratt of Villanova University will give the keynote address, followed by four breakout sessions on Racism in the Catholic Church, Black Vocations, Catholic experience in Africa, Youth Empowerment. The Most Reverend Barry C. Knestout will celebrate Mass at St. Elizabeth’s Church on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 5:oo pm. A reception will follow.
