SISTER TIBERH 27th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

On June 23, people from all over the country (and world) celebrated Sister Tiberh Hagos, a Comboni Missionary Sister. Sister has been St. Elizabeth’s Human Concerns Minister for several years. The Mass celebrated Sister’s 27th religious anniversary. Father Jim wrote in the bulletin:
“I have learned so much from Sister and in a unique way to trust in “PROVIDENCE.” Whenever a challenge or difficulty would occur, Sister would say, “We must trust in God’s PROVIDENCE.” It was PROVIDENCE that brought Sr. Tiberh to join St. Elizabeth, to welcome our Umoja newcomers to our parish, to support the invigoration of our parish as we now are blessed with lots of children and crying babies. I thank God for Sr. Tiberh.”
Sister Tiberh leaves St. Elizabeth to move to Chicago to continue her studies and receive her Masters of Divinity. St. Elizabeth was blessed with the gift of PROVIDENCE to have had Sister walk with us in faith, charity and enrich our diversity. Blessings to Sister Tiberh, her family, and her Comboni Sisters

DONATE ITEMS FOR OUR SILENT AUCTION

The St. Elizabeth’s Centennial Anniversary Committee is planning a silent auction to raise much-needed funds for the parish. Can you help us out with a donation of a product, artwork or service from your business? You can donate a gift certificate to your restaurant, local business, retail shop. Or donate an item you sell or made like jewelry, clothing, scarves. Do you offer a service such as hairstylist, makeup, accounting, gardening, decorating, or sewing? The silent auction is a great way to promote your business to our diverse parish and show how much you care about St. Elizabeth remaining a part of Richmond. Your donation is tax deductible. Email Monique Moody at [email protected].
