My dear Parishioners,
I am so grateful for our Saint Elizabeth family. Together we are creating a caring parish community that shares its resources with those in need of God’s love. You have helped our parish to continue moving forward and for that, I truly thank you.

With this communication, I want to focus on one important cause and that is the 2023 Annual Diocesan Appeal. You may not realize this, but we are so blessed at Saint Elizabeth because of the assistance we receive from the Diocesan Appeal. Last year our Annual Appeal Goal was $15,630. In return for reaching our goal, we received $7,609 in Quarterly Share Funds from the diocese as well as $32,100 in Grants from the following Funds:

Food & Hunger – $20,000 • Home Mission – $6,000 • Black & Indian – $1,100 • Rice Bowl – $5,000

As you can see, the Annual Appeal is a great help to our parish and its many ministries. We truly embrace the theme of this year’s appeal, Sharing His Love with Others, a great reminder of what the Lord calls us to do.

You have likely received a letter and brochure from Bishop Knestout regarding the 2023 Appeal. I would ask you to please take a moment to reflect on all the ministries the Appeal supports. Prayerfully consider a new gift or an increase your pledge or gift if you contributed previously.

You can give online at www.richmondcatholicfoundation.org/appeal/. Specify your donation to Saint Elizabeth – Richmond (509)

If you have any questions about the Appeal, call the Parish Office (804)-329-4599 to speak with Maureen at Ext.12 ([email protected]) or Eva at Ex. 10 ([email protected]). If you have any questions about giving online to the Appeal, I encourage you to reach out to the Diocese’s e-giving vendor GiveCentral as they are the processor for all online Appeal donations. They may be reached at (833) 716-2612 or [email protected].

Thank you for joining me in supporting the Annual Appeal this year. You and your family are in my prayers, as I hope that I am in yours as well. May the Lord reward you for your kindness and generosity.

Yours Gratefully in Christ,
Fr. James M. Arsenault
Pastor
