3 people decorating the Christmas Tree

Angel Tree

St. Elizabeth’s Angel Tree is a collection of ornaments. Each ornament is the name of a child, adult, or family who, without the support of St. Elizabeth parish, may not have presents for Christmas. The families are part of our Umoja community. For some, this Christmas will be their first Christmas in the United States after settling here from another country. When you take an ornament, you will have the child/adult’s name and 2-3 gifts they need for Christmas. Gifts could be toys, games, activities, winter clothing, or books. You spend as much as you can afford. You drop off your gifts to the parish office (or at Sunday Mass) by Saturday, 17 December. YOU DO NOT WRAP YOUR GIFTS.

To get the name of a child or adult from the Angel Tree, email [email protected] or call the parish office (804) 329-4599 ext 17. Leave a message with your name and phone number.

If you prefer to shop online, you can purchase your gifts and ship them directly to the parish office. Be sure to include a gift note with the name on your ornament and your name.

You can purchase gift cards to popular stores like Target, WalMart, Food Lion. Denominations of $25 or $50 are best. Mail or drop off your gift cards at the parish office. Be sure to write the gift cards are for the UMOJA HOLIDAY FUND.

If you can’t shop, you can make a monetary donation. The Umoja Team will purchase gifts for a child or family. To donate, send a check to the parish office, be sure to put in the subject line: UMOJA HOLIDAY FUND. You can donate online, but after you donate, you must call (804) 329-4599 or email the parish office. You will tell them that your gift is specifically for UMOJA HOLIDAY.

  • If you never used Zoom before, you will need to download the software and familiarize yourself with the platform. We recommend starting this process at least fifteen minutes before the workshop begins.
  • If you have not used Zoom in a while, there is a software update you may need. When you log onto Zoom, it will let you know. Again, we recommend starting this process at least fifteen minutes before the workshop begins.
